To that end, three decentralized funds were established: Women and Democracy; Civil Society and Democratic Development; and Public Participation and Governance. Through these funds, CIDA supports civic education, the freedom of the press, the defence of human rights, and inter-institutional dialogue between civil society organizations and government institutions. Through the post-electoral period, the project helps to foster a Congolese society that is better informed concerning its individual rights and responsibilities, that actively participates in the establishment of democratic institutions, and that understands the value of a peaceful society that respects human rights.", "Closed", "2004-10-08T00:00:00", "2012-04-11T00:00:00", "[\"Congo, Democratic Republic 100.00%\"]", "Embassy of Canada to Democratic Republic of Congo ", "[\"Democratic participation and civil society 20.00%\", \"Elections 60.00%\", \"Human rights 20.00%\"]", "6114499.24", null, null, "Results achieved as of the end of the project (March 2011): Three sub-projects were supported throughout the year, in total, 134 sub-projects received funding to support citizen participation initiatives since the project\u2019s inception.", "Donor country personnel", "Bilateral", "Aid grant excluding debt reorganisation", null, "Global Affairs Canada", "WGM Africa", "Pre-APP", "[\"Gender equality\", \"Environmental sustainability (cross-cutting)\", \"Participatory development and good governance\", \"Trade development\", \"Biodiversity\", \"Climate change mitigation\", \"Climate Change Adaptation\", \"Desertification\", \"Urban issues\", \"Children's issues\", \"Youth Issues\", \"Indigenous Issues\", \"Disability\", \"ICT as a tool for development\"]", null, null, "[\"750000.00\", \"1250000.00\", \"1000000.00\"]", "[\"-4.32758 15.31357\"]", "[\"2004000505\"]", "[\"Embassy of Canada to Democratic Republic of Congo \"]", null, null, "[\"6114499.24\", \"16193.98\", \"4761.32\", \"9429.19\", \"23735.55\", \"3900.00\", \"5563.42\", \"4598.75\", \"3331.25\", \"3331.25\", \"11672.88\", \"20570.29\"]"]], "columns": ["id", "projectNumber", "dateModified", "title", "description", "status", "start", "end", "countries", "executingAgencyPartner", "DACSectors", "maximumContribution", "ContributingOrganization", "expectedResults", "resultsAchieved", "aidType", "collaborationType", "financeType", "flowType", "reportingOrganisation", "programName", "selectionMechanism", "policyMarkers", "regions", "alternameImPositions", "budgets", "Locations", "otherIdentifiers", "participatingOrgs", "programDataStructure", "relatedActivities", "transactions"], "primary_keys": ["id"], "primary_key_values": ["61"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.5158040003152564}
